Citizens' Disaster Response Monitoring Database

We are deploying a simple disaster monitoring application for the Citizens' Disaster Response Center soon. If you are interested in joining the team that will add more features to the current app released yesterday, please send me a note.

This is a CPU volunteer project. The demo site is at www.collectivetech.org/dev/cdrcMonitor. Use 'rick' as password and username.

Some technical details:
1. CakePHP Framework
2. MySQL/Apache

I hope other members can help. We can then talk about what other features to add. This tool once deployed will be a grassroots monitoring tool for natural and man-made disasters in the country. We hope to create an alternative data source based on community reports of affected areas.

You can visit www.cdrc-phil.org to know more of their disaster management methods.

Wishlist includes:

1. integration with drupal or wordpress for blog entries/photos of disaster reports.
2. FrontlineSMS integration. We can use this tool to process incoming ang outgoing sms. We need to interface with it since its gui is a java client side application.
3. ajax{?}
4. reporting tool integration. Do you know of more friendly reporting tool that will only require lamp? I am a fan of openreports (http://oreports.com/) and is a happy user. But it runs on tomcat.
