ABOUT
The Computer Professionals’ Union (CPU) calls on its members, friends and colleagues to support their initiatives in contributing to efforts to helping the victims of Typhoon Ondoy (International Name Ketsana) in the Philippines.
CPU has been supporting the Citizens’ Disaster Response Center (CDRC) and their relief operations for affected communities not in the mainstream. This fact makes it all the more important for us to channel our efforts in supporting them, as it is these communities that go unnoticed in disaster management efforts. We ask you all to chip in donations in cash or in kind, and to volunteer ourselves in repacking, distribution, etc.
CPU maintains a disaster monitoring tool for CDRC since 2005.
